SYS-FIT Nexus Dock — Setup Guide

Store Nexus with attached Grabo as a single grab-and-go unit. Covers lower drawer installation, battery requirements, and system pairing tips for Sortainer/2 M 337.

When your Nexus is your daily interface, storage should keep it ready as a single unit — no re-rigging between jobs. This dock is designed to store the Nexus with a Grabo or DeWalt Grabo attached so the whole assembly lifts in and drops out together.

What's included

  • Fitout insert designed for Sortainer 2 (M 337) lower drawer
  • Protective compartment for Nexus baseplate with attached Grabo or DeWalt Grabo
  • Compartment for SYS-GRP Minimus Bracket

Best for

  • Crews who move between bench, cart, and site
  • Anyone who wants one-piece grab-and-go Nexus deployment
  • Users who keep a Grabo permanently attached to their Nexus
  • Shops that need staged vacuum source storage

Installation steps

  1. Place the insert in the lower drawer Take the provided fitout insert and place it in the lower (large) drawer of your Sortainer/2 (M 337).
  1. Prepare your unit for storage DeWalt Grabo: Remove the battery before placing in the compartment — the drawer will not close with the battery installed. Grabo Pro-Lifter: Battery can remain in place during storage.
  1. Position your Nexus Place the Nexus with attached Grabo into the insert compartment. The Grabo handle should have clearance and not interfere with the drawer.
  1. Add Minimus Bracket (optional) If using a SYS-GRP Minimus Bracket, place it in the dedicated compartment.
  1. Store accessories in the upper drawer Use the upper drawer of the Sortainer/2 to store hoses, valves, fittings, and other vacuum system accessories.
  1. Test the setup Close the Sortainer and verify latches engage properly. Open and test that you can lift the Nexus + Grabo as a single unit.

Systainer sourcing

Source the Sortainer/2 (M 337) from Systainer Store at this time, or use one you already have on hand.

System pairing tips

Fun note: When paired with a set of SYS-ORG PodBins, this fitout really "sucks" — the pods and Grabo stay ready and the smalls stay sorted.

Consider organizing your Nexus Dock alongside:

  • SYS-ORG PodBins for small fittings, gaskets, and spare parts (upper drawer storage)
  • SYS-GRP Pod Dock for AnchorDogs and rail inserts
  • SYS-FIT Grabo Fitout for backup handheld units

Care & maintenance

After each use:

  • Wipe insert clean of debris

Quarterly:

  • Inspect insert for cracks or compression
  • Clean compartment well
