Recommended Accessories for Expanding Your Bench System
Besides vacuum source options (see our vacuum source guide), we often get asked how we set up our bench to get the most efficiency out of SYS-GRP vacuum pods. While we stock a growing line of SYS-GRP accessories, there are additional items we don’t currently carry but frequently use in our own shop.
These curated recommendations will help you expand the flexibility of your bench-mounted system:
Tubing
We offer PU tubing in 6 meter lengths. You can find this on our Push to Connect Accessory page
Manifolds & Splitters
- We currently stock 2-to-1 and 4-to-1 splitters.
- For more complex systems, a manifold is the best option. Here’s a selection we’ve used successfully.
- Don’t forget to order the matching plugs and threaded push-to-connect fittings to pair with the manifold’s threaded ports.
Valves
Zoning your pods allows you to quickly transition between areas of the bench or run different tasks simultaneously. When paired with splitters or manifolds, a valve bank can dramatically improve efficiency by routing vacuum exactly where it’s needed.
We recommend this pneumatic valve, supplied with the required push-to-connect fittings. To configure it for vacuum workholding, you’ll also need a corresponding ¼″ NPT plug.
We have a valve and release panel to simplify installation as well.
Quick Release
To change operations without cycling the entire vacuum source or valve bank, a quick-release is invaluable. This release is our go-to option:
- Can be mounted directly to your bench for out-of-the-way operation
- Also works well as a bump-release for fast workflow changes
